1. Study with a purpose—find out from your instructor
whether or not you are going to need to know specifics such as dates, names,
and definitions.
2. To remember information—practice recalling, not just
rereading. Use index cards. 2 days before the exam study hard and the night
before review leisurely.
3. On exam day—be rested, confident, get to the exam early,
and choose a seat that you know there will be few distractions.
4. Taking the exam—read ALL directions and pace yourself. Be
sure to answer the questions you know the answers to first and go back to the
ones that are more difficult. ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS! Review your exam before you
hand it in.
5. When the exam is returned—go over exam and if you don’t know
why you go something wrong clarify with your professor.
